Today, New York’s newest digital, direct-to-consumer healthy food brand Hungryroot has launched a brick and mortar store in New York’s Flatiron neighborhood. New York residents who are looking for nutrient-rich, often vegan friendly, ready-made meal solutions can now get their Hungryroot goods the old-fashioned way: by walking down the street to what the brand refers to as its ‘modern convenience store’ .
Hungryroot’s new Flatiron pop-up will be open today, April 8, through June 30. Why visit Hungryroot when there is either a Whole Foods Market or Trader Joe’s nearly every fifth block in the city? Easy: a new oat bar where customers can customize Hungryroot oat cups with a choice of milk and toppings, and a sampling station for the brand’s cult favorites Black Bean Brownie Batter and Almond Chickpea Cookie Dough. The creatively flavored and versatile sauces, proteins and healthy dinner accoutrements should provide a welcome upgrade for any New York City kitchen currently hosting a stack of sad takeout containers.
For those familiar with the brand, wondering which of their previously online-only favorites will be available - over 60 Hungryroot products will be stocked, including freshly cut vegetables, versatile sauces, whole grains, clean desserts and a series of new items like Toasted Coconut Clusters, Superfood Tomato Sauce and Energizing Green Juice.
Hungryroot’s retail pop-up is now open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. daily, with a rotating series of events including weekend workouts and happy hours cropping up throughout its residency.
