Mission Tandarust is to sensitise people about clear air, water, healthy food: Min

Rupnagar, Punjab, Jun 5 (UNI) State Higher Education and Water Supply and Sanitation Minister Razia Sultana on Tuesday said that the government has launched 'Mission Tandarust Punjab' in order to improve upon the quality of food besides emphsising on cleaner air and water to ensure better living conditions for the people.

The Minister, who inaugurated 'Mission Tandarust Punjab' here, said that it is a dream project of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh and it is being unveiled across the entire length and breadth of the state today.
Under the mission, the people would be sensitised about clean air, water and healthy food besides generating awareness regarding health.

The mission would be run jointly by the Health, Water Supply and Sanitation, Local Government, Transport, Environment, Agriculture, Cooperation, Forest, Sports, Water Resources, Public Health and Rural Development and Panchayats departments.

Emphasising on the preservation of innumerable bounties bestowed by the nature, Ms Sultana said that Great Guru Sahiban had also underlined the significance of the elements of nature such as air, water, earth and environment.</span>
