Fakeaway healthy food demonstration in Kildare town

Local foodie Bernard Gibney will host a healthy cooking, ‘alternatives to the takeaway’ demonstration in Kildare town on Thursday, March 22 at 7pm.

The demonstration will also include a tasting and will take place at the library.

As part of the Healthy Eating Progroamme, a talk called Healthy Eating for Your Child with Gemma Randles willalso take place on Thursday, March 29 at 7pm.

This talk will cover: Nutritional needs of children at all ages and stages of development; Introducing new foods; How to deal with fussy eating; School lunch boxes; Healthy eating for older children and nutritional needs in teenage years.

Gemma Randles is a newly qualified dietitian having recently completed an MSc in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics in University College Dublin. She has experience in acute hospitals and community settings, seeing patients for fussy eating and malnutrition.
