MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) - The 3rd Annual Books and Breakfast brought dozens together in hopes to restore the love of reading.
The event was held by members of the C-3 Land Cooperative at the Westwood Community Center, Saturday morning.
Keedran Franklin of C-3 Land Cooperative says, “With a book you can be anywhere you want to be. You can read a book and be in Japan, you can read a book and be in Africa. We just want to reintroduce and rebirth the idea of reading books.”
The mission is to provide land for low income Memphians, increase economic and educational opportunities, and ensure access to fresh healthy food for Memphians living in poverty.
